No building, fence, wall or other structure shall be commenced, erected or maintained upon the properties, nor shall any exterior addition to or change or alteration therein, be made until plans and specifications showing the nature, kind, shape, height, materials, and location of the same shall have been submitted to and approved in writing…” to the Board of Directors. Please submit your project plans to the Board of Directors for review. All submittals should include project scope in detail, including but not limited to, if applicable plans/drawings, materials, colors, size, locations, etc… All requests must be submitted in writing. Please plan ahead. All major projects require review by the full Board. The Board meets monthly.
All Briarwood plats have completed “Deed Restriction amendments” to allow approval of “non-wood” roofing materials. Only “natural wood cedar shingles” can be installed without BHOA approval! Please submit your roofing plans to the Board of Directors before the project begins! All non-wood roofing material must be approved by the Board!
Get a written estimate. The estimate must specify installation of the Product, Type, Manufacture, Color, Warranty and type of ridge being installed.
Send the BHOA a written request asking for approval of the roof material you have selected. You should include a copy of the written estimate, prepared by the roofing contractor, which clearly specifies the material (As stated above). The price should be blocked out.
The Board will act on your request as soon as possible, and you will receive a written reply from the BHOA.
